Since someone asked and others might have not seen these yet...

http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Update_5.1,_Official

There is mention that creep mitigations were fixed.  My Warleader has ZERO change to mitigations.  I've heard and seen some evidence that worgs are actually worse off by ~3%

I've seen posts on the forums showing increases on various classes but...who knows /photoshop?

Either way, I'm not impressed.

They tried making the new ratings formulas work by jacking up the armor and raw mit ratings... but you can't make all the points on that new curve work.  You end up undershooting here and there... some places by a lot.

Will be good to have the old formulas back, just hope they get this in soon (as in before U6, which is a ways out).

There's only 1 kin on E who have managed to make it through T2 ToO so far (FF).  Many of the kins who have cleared T1 were using a bug that has been fixed in 5.1.  There won't be a flood of first ages.  It will be a trickle.

Got to love your "never give up, never surrender" attitude.  And you're right -- which is why I still logged on last night and fought while I could, until the G/F called, and then back for a bit more.  It was fun, no doubt.  Between Caek, myself and Wretcher I think we had some pretty good fun "leading" a mostly-tribe raid.  We had our ups and downs but there is definitely a sense of "futility" not only on the forums but in game.

Someone mentioned it once on the forums; basically we're left to zerging in order to compete.  I'm fine with that.  What I find amazing is how the freeps seem to be doing the same, in large numbers, and they're okay with that?  When they look out numbered, we typically disband and provide breathing room.  Not them (or so it seems)!

And did you read the replies coming on that post?

http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?441237-Creep-Mitigations

I feel much of the same way unfortunately.  What is the point of reverting to 'old' armor values when first ages are out and many more to be had soon? They should be looking to balance, not revert to pre U5 values.  If they reverted freeps to pre U5 there would be a mass exodus FREEP side.

And there is little faith the devs will get it done correctly.  Time after time, bugs still linger and fixes promised are broken deliverables.  Again, if I had done this as often as they have, my manager would have fired me a long time ago.

For me  -  My best guess is even though my rank 11 BA recieved some improvement, I am still 3-4% less than I was before the update.  So basically I'm still nerfed from what I was suppose to be by some error they said they were going to fix and failed at.

I was unimpressed with the mitigation changes while I logged onto my Warg last night.  So much so I'm wondering if there is another class I should be playing!  I'm thinking of buying BA or Warleader class for a change of pace from warg packing.  Any input will be appreciated.   Of course if I pay for another class I'm sure it will be swiftly "improved" similar to the mitigation "fixes" yesterday.

The former soviet five year planners performed better at their jobs than this group of dev's.  They were of course also all shot for their poor performance. (The soviet planners of course)

I think Blizzard has hired some of the Lotro dev's but before they transfer over they must sabotage this game.  They are exceeding expectations.

If Lotro itself was a stock I would short the hell out of it.

LOL.  You know I was super unhappy with the update yesterday and seeing this made my day.  Thank you Nomore.  I needed a good laugh after crying when I saw my toons mitigations last night.

Where is GW2 already?  And where is the damn $$ I'm going to need for a new PC!?! Money mouth

The pics I posted from my BA are NOT altered. If you are a BA and want to see what your physical mitigations were Pre-Update5, Update 5, and Update 5.1, my post is here: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?440984-Creep-Mitigations-Even-Mor...

PS: One of my racials is "New Breed"

Looks like they also fixed some inadvertent minstrel nerfs from the prior update.

Good on ya, Devs!  Was hating how squishy the poor Mins had become.

Thanks Morsel! I'll have to look into my wargs mitigations next time I'm on. That's not too encouraging. Even if I get my ~40% mitigations I had with Shadow Howler, it still is no match for some of the freep classes who have over 60% mitigations and do double my damage. /sigh
