Being able to hear the info so we can all coordinate is 95% of the reason for Ventrilo. The other 5% is to relay info back. Usually, most of us are silent except to announce freep locations, targets or wood sightings.
In a battle, I know many of us neglect /ooc. Call it lazieness or lag overload or focusing on the fight or just simply not wanting to repeat ourselves.... It's an unfortunate situation for those without access, but most of the coordination is done via Ventrilo nowadays.
Who was having a go at it? Someone not on vent or someone on it?
There's plenty of people w/o a mic who just chat via /k or /ooc in response to something on vent. It's certainly not something that we're trying to exclude people from (except those who deserve to be excluded). We don't go around advertising the vent server to exclude them.
what's the view on people (eg. ME) being on the vent server listening to the conversation, and contributing through OOC or kinchat? i'm not in a position where i can talk, however still like to feel a part of the conversation, yet this evening someone is having a go for that exact reason.
