Funny - Packing materials
Minus my new acquisitions

and I shoot a bit of everything.. like here http://www.alanlouie.com
That said... I just purchased $700 of background gear for my photoshoot with my girlfriend... I must love her lots :) Either that or I was looking for an excuse to buy another 2 stands, a muslin background, a crossboar, a lighting boom, and a big carrying case for it all
Isn't photography neat? I just recently got Nikon D60 with a Nikkor 18-200mm lense (love the zoom range). Definitely a fun toy. What camera do you use? Shoot mostly indoor stuff or a bit of everything?
Better than what happened to me.. I bought a $100 creative wireless headset and it was shipped to fedex. They didn't drop it off at the apartment office, they threw it over the wall onto my concrete porch/balcony (I live on the 2nd floor and you can't get to the balcony from the outside). So.. to do that he had to have thrown it upwards 4 feet and it fell down about 3 onto the concrete
I'm never shipping camera gear through Fedex... ever.

It's sad and funny...
I got an MPC laptop the other day for one of the department heads, and for some reason they shipped the laptop and the cloth carrying case in 2 boxes.
The laptop came in a box just bigger than the actual computer, no packing materials.
The cloth carry case came in a box big enough to put two of the laptop boxes in, and was _filled_ with paper, air balloons and those annoying peanuts. I'm glad that the cloth carrying case didn't get crushed during shipment. Emergency averted!
An obvious ploy to force the receiver to actually READ an EULA!
I think they should replace the papers in each of the 16 boxes with a single computer case screw, affix and RMA form to the front and ship it back!
Think of the children we're feeding by manufacturing more boxes!
Things like this (if it is indeed true) make me question my unapologetic faith in capitalism...
 Thems really fragile papers? /boggle

wow
talk about killin some trees to send two damn peices of paper!
Victory may not always be in our fortune, but the glory of the battle always will.
