I talked to the guy who was working it and he had just found a new job and therefore will not be working on getting it back up again in the near future. He will attempt again when he has time, but not anytime soon.

Eh the probability of folks doing that is so low I wouldn't worry. He's a bad blip unfortunately.
But if you were to make a cutoff.. i'd make it 50k. That's completely unreasonable for 1 day and is below the level that someone would bother transferring a creep IMO.

Bah. Just realised something. Crusada (recent xfer) seems to have firstly created a Crusada creep to check out our PvMP (on the 13th), and then deleted it and xfered his main. This means the system didn't see him as new. The only way I could filter that sort of thing out is to check how much infamy a person has gained, and ignore large numbers, but I'm not keen on setting that sort of cut-off point.

That should be "doable", just don't know how much time I'll have. My honours course is basically starting now, so I won't have heaps of time to work on it. I'll keep it on my list, but won't be able to do much any time soon.

Well Akulz... if you happen to be.. err.. REALLY bored it would be nice to have Server vs Server rollup or Tribe/class rollups that the Surugi site had. The Surugi site has been offline since 12/24 and from that i'm guessing it's not going to be coming back online anytime soon. Would be nice to see that functionality in your leaderboard
Additionally.. if you are willing to do that and want to solicite ideas first, we can establish a leaderboard development forum here and then get the LOTRO PvMP population directed there to make suggestions

Ok, server overview is no longer screwed, but it's cut off instead. Currently it's displaying the last 10 days, I'll graduallly increase it back to 30 as those fk'ed up stats from when I was fixing things roll off. At least now it's somewhat useful.

Ok, I've made that change, but the way the system works, it'll only apply for people transferring now (as gains are calculated and stored during the stats scrape, not while displaying info.

I have a suggestion you might consider. When you consider the delta to figure out how much inf theyve gained, if there's no previous entry, ignore that person for the day rather than calculating a delta from 0. When they show up again then it'll be based off of the last time they were seen. That'll prevent massive shifts due to server xfers. Will this make it somewhat inaccurate for folks who have come out to the 'moors for the very first time native to E? Yes, but IMO far less inaccurate

Ok. Stats are now updating correctly each day. The server stats will all look funky for a few weeks until they settle down, mainly because I screwed up a few days (and also found an oddity/bug in perl).

What a way to fail. Turbine's servers are throwing 404s yet still returning full websites. Got a stream cap from wireshark at http://www.strudel-hound.com/turbine-404.txt if anyone is interested.

Ok, updates are running!
Or at least, will be, whenever 1:01am rolls around on my shell. I ran a test just then, and it all worked fine except for defilers not having a race. I fixed my mispelling (defilters instead of defilers) and it all seems ok.
I'll still be keeping an eye on it, however. And yes, we will have huge ass spikes since the last 3 weeks of data will pretty much all be on one day.

Yeah I just shuffled over to Perl (per that thread) and the parsing was relatively painless. I now have to work on the intermediate logic and MySQL stuff, which we do differently to Xavier. Either way though, I'm hoping for a preliminary run tonight (in around 12-16 hours or so), have a BBQ to go to now however.

I posted a quick message. Unfortunately, it's going to take longer than expected to get the parsing back up. Turns out that they're now creating a new table for race+class+name, which has completely broken the table parsing. At this point, it almost looks like a complete re-write (of the backend) will be needed, so don't hold your breath.

Those two characters shouldn't be screwing with the system. And I'm seeing Drunken-on-E with 0 infamy gains over the last two days. Drunken-on-Nim has first shown up 2 days ago (with 500 odd infamy), and apparently earnt 0 infamy yesterday.

Just do it the same as you have the link to the daily gains (ie. in the 'Daily Total Gains History" bar), that works well.
I have a question that requires a bit of explaining; I rolled a character on Nimrodel exactly the same as I have on E: a reaver named Drunkenaussie.
I noticed today that I have small gains for Drunken on E for the past two days...but I'm positive that I haven't played him. I also notice that Drunkenausse on Nimrodel doesn't show up at all...and I'm positive I HAVE played (and gotten infamy) on that character. I also surmise that the amount gained would have been about the amount shown on my E character.
Clear as mud?
Now to the actual question: Does having two characters in the system with the excact same name, even though different servers, screw with your my.lotro trawl a bit?

Edit: The missing data bug should be fixed (or is being fixed by my script) now, it's on Gladden atm, so E has been done. I'll look into the monthly thing now.
