The flash one is pretty, and fun to play with. But I think a static one is also useful. The flash one I'd use for learning/examining the map, whereas a static image would be good as a quick reference. Sort of the difference between a manual and a reference sheet, I guess.

ohh I like the Levex one... I still use the pre MOM map :)
Though the Map type (good/poor) is hard to distinguish... maybe more pronouced images.. like stars , circles , square with the colour match of
crude: white
poor : yellow
Good : Purple
maybe...

The mapserver version; definitely more detailed and better looking than the standard map currently being used. Also, here’s a version Levex did some time ago highlighting additional key points (V-Rock, Anca-Rock, etc..) Maybe those can be incorporated in the new version, including new key points (circle of trees, etc)...?!

i like the 'mapserver' one, keep on working on it... :mrgreen:
having the actual layout of the terrain on the map is so much more helpful and actually better looking!

Cons of the first map: I have to use a downloaded piece of software to generate it, so i'm about the only one who can edit it
Pro's: Flash powered, can do a bunch of interesting effects. Mouse over effects let us put an extensive block of text
