Hey BAOS, this is Evilspinnre of Brandywine. Some of you may know me from my forum posts, or from my BA on E (Nizurt). Although this is still early for the state of things for me, I would like to put forth an application for IF I do transfer to Elendilmir. It really depends on the state of the 'moors on Brandywine when I return from my ban (GLFF is too entertaining for me freepside :p) and if it contiues to be a farmfest for the creeps. The fact most Brandywine freeps cannot play that well doesn't help. After playing on E since book 11 with Nizrurt, and seeing the quality of both freeps and creeps, I would love to become a part of BAOS if I did transfer my spider to Ee.

 

Creep Names: Evilspinnre (Rename to something else I have in mind upon transfer ;), Nizrurt

Highest Ranked Creep and Class: r10 Weaver

Previous Tribes: Scourge of Vilya (Reaver-Vilya), Lockdown (Reaver-Vilya), Ungoliants Hatchlings (Brandywine), The Witch Kings Seventh Legion (Brandywine-Leader). Note: Concerning my own tribe, it is currently being run by my officers and leaving my ranked WL within it would keep it stable as I could still switch between servers. My tribe would be in-active in any case, as we do not like skilless creep zergfests and often have to switch to our freeps to keep the fight somewhat balanced.

Time Zone: GMT +10

Age: 16

How long have you played in the Ettenmoors as a Creep: Since July 2007 (over 50 pvp ranks)

Reason for joining BAOS: I would love to be a part of a tribe with a good, friendly community where I have no strain of leadership/too much responsiblity (leading 7th legion has been fun but really tires me out). It would also be lovely to lead small tribe groups/raids against even sized freep groups for some fun, and I have heard much of the dreaded Vyxe raid :O

% of time in the Ettenmoors currently playing as a Creep (vs Freep): 75% I have a champion I rat around with on B/W in the moors and a guardian part of the best raiding kinship on Vilya, I do have to devote time to them :p

Thanks for the honesty in your reply.

I will be withholding my sponsorship until we get to know you a bit more in your interactions on E. Join raids, get on vent and get to know us and perhaps then I will review my sponsor.

I play mainly during American evenings (8pm-3am) and afternoons during weekends.

 

Appreciate the replies.

 

Uninstalling the game would require re-downloading it, something my bandwidth wouldn't allow :P

 

Drama creepside I tent to avoid. Freepside on Brandywine with Glff was where it's at, I don't think I'll be freeping at all on E.

If you are grouping with the Aussies more, then it's likely you'd be better off in Sin or bteam than BAOS, we have limited aussie time coverage.

I can kinda sorta understand that, but the reality is, that is something that BAOS does not want in their kinship, it brings too much drama. So you can see where we are coming from when you state that you trying to get banned when you need a break is not what we are looking for in a tribe memeber. IMO, there are acceptable ways to leave the game for a break and others not so much.

I generally try to get myself banned when I need to be away from the game for a large period of time so I am not tempted to come back, as I cannot cancel my account with a lifetime sub in place. I know this it not an excuse for volitile behaviour but I worry not about words traded over text on the internet, vent is where it's at :)

Freepside I use for fooling around, I tend to stay out of OOC creepside and as a vent admin on the B/W creep vent stay responsible there. I won't hide my thoughts of the current state of PvP there. Mass numbers of creeps that are well organised and led vs a raid or raid and a 1/2 MAX of freeps sometimes lead by a good leader, but usually leaderless or led incompetantly.

Unfortuantely that is what B/W has somewhat become, it is no longer the great pvp server it once was. Hopefully that will change and it will become a challenge again, but freeps on b/w do not committ to understanding their class as well as I have seen on E. There were good leaders and freeps during SoA and book 6-7, but they deteriorated and ended up leaving the game/moors.

My previous tribe on Vilya (TSoV) disbanded when it's leader Skaithe took an extended break, so I ended up leaving after being the only person on. I joined Lockdown (elitist style tribe) instead, but I hardly play creepside on Vilya anymore. I may have been booted for in-activity. If so I'm part of my tribe on B/W, and a kin on Vilya. I don't take my champion seriously enough to dedicate to a raiding kin. Hatchlings was a spider only kin and grew in-active during MoM so I left and formed Witch Kings Seventh :)

I'm sure that Nopain, Furc, Vengy, Grulack and Smegrat (Aussie Time Zone) could tell you a little about me, I group with them the most during my time on E.

A few comments:

Being honest with you, noting that your banned doesnt inspire a lot of confidence. If you're having self control issues in glff what will be different in /ooc, /tr or vent?

You mention that Brandywine freeps cannot play well and skilless creep zergfests.....you'd need to leave that attitude at the door.

How many actual tribes are you in now? Looks like 1 current and 1 prior on Vilya and B/W, and then you're part of the best raiding kinship on Vilya.

So you see the picture? Looks like you hop around servers on different tribes, getting banned, telling everyone how bad they are how good you are. I reckon everyone deserves a chance and so the best I could offer with my vote is to hang around the E for a while if you transfer here and we can get to know you and then make a decision.
