So what would you do to improve PvMP

This is a semi-internal thread to keep away from the flaming of the normal PvMP forums.  So... consider what would make PvMP fun.  The intention is to somewhat come to a consensus or at least a good strong list of supported ideas, then i'll PM Frelorn with either a consolidated document and/or this link.  So please stay respectful and on topic on this thread

Here's a couple topics i'm suggesting you answer

- What in PvMP do you consider FUN.  Is it the yellow bar, the community, having rewards as you rank, or just corpse jumping others and being godly over your kill

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors

- What aspects of the curent map do you think is good?  (Objective based PvP, lots of little npc clusters to fall back into)

- What aspects of the current map do you dislike? (too many npcs)

- What suggestions for map mechanics would you add and why?

- Where do you feel the balance should be for 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you adapt the current system to your preference?

- What battles do you want to encourage more, 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you encourage it?

Go ahead and suggest any other broad areas of topics too that you would add.

This thread's rather old by now, but it seems that new opinions couldn't necessarily hurt, even if they're never read. That said... ;)

- What in PvMP do you consider FUN.  Is it the yellow bar, the community, having rewards as you rank, or just corpse jumping others and being godly over your kill.

Like everybody else, I love the community. However, I'm relatively limited on time and don't have the will to PvMP full time (PvE has gotten extremely boring for me), so the community seems to cycle through new faces faster than I can keep up. That's a real issue. The yellow bar and rank rewards interested me, up until R6... now I absolutely hate them, always pointing and laughing at me like fat hobbitses with a magical ring.

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

For the love of Sauron, we need a smooth introduction to the Moors. I can still vividly remember my first time creeping, at around lvl 25 on the first Freep. My game experience was undoubtedly limited. So I rolled a creep, appeared in Grams, and did what any Freep's first instinct to do is... grab quests when there's no instructions.

Headed down to the first slug pit and killed a slug. "Mmmm, that was pretty boring, and I'm so freakin weak!" Creeps felt like they moved in slow motion (and still do to me, even after SoM). The animations were lacking. The scenery was dark and forboding, but overall very bland and boring. And then I got ganked by a high-rank Burg. Had no idea what had happened. Decided to try the Grams Map quest on a blue map (undiscovered map - couldn't see who controlled what or where each keep was). Got half way down to Lug Norbogs ramp, ganked. WTF, I FAILED THE QUEST? THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE! AFK in Grams for timer. Tried again, ganked behind Lugs. AFK some more. Ganked outside west gate into Isen. Alt + F4.

Allow me to recap your experience as a noob, especially without a max level Freep under your belt: no knowledge of map, no concept of keep/outpost positions, no display of enemy presence or control, no help with navigating the terrain, no idea at all about class dynamics, no explanation of skills, no direction at combat mechanics, no concept of mission (except 'KILL!'?), etc etc.

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors

Cut down the repetition. Even the most dedicated and goal-oriented person is going to get bored of grinding before R15. Last I was aware, NOBODY in the world has gotten there. That should be a hint. Make the gameplay the interesting and motivating portion, not the rewards... break the traditional MMO thought process.

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors

See above re: new creeps. The noob slaughter is pretty off-putting. Or give decent rewards, as everybody else said, but don't make them rank-based... make them SKILL-based (as in, you have to actually play half-decently, not just play 24/7). Rank-based rewards only encourage people to come and get burned out grinding, then leave before they can really contribute meaningfully to the community.

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors

See above re: vet creeps. Make gameplay more fun for the sake of gameplay. The DAoC comments were dead-on here. I still play Battlefield 2142... not because of its ranks, but because its a blast to play in any of its many roles.

- What aspects of the curent map do you think is good?  (Objective based PvP, lots of little npc clusters to fall back into)

Errrr... grasping for straws here. I really don't like the current map very much. At most, I could say the placement and design of some of the rocks/trees (the two-hump rock near V-rock at PTR, the trees/bears near TR rez, Anca Rock, the tree placement around N side of LC, Freep Hill.

- What aspects of the current map do you dislike? (too many npcs)

Constant nonsensical line-of-sight issues. If I can see the target in first-person view, why can't I shoot it?! Arrows bending in mid-air to fly through "stone" walls and still strike their targets. Invisible walls are a nightmare (EC/OC). A small portion of the map is very fast-paced action because of how long it takes each side to get back once they die (EC/STAB/CoT/PTR/SOP), while much takes too long to travel to (SW OP or Isen) to have good fights regularly, so all the action funnels to one area. Some areas are just way too crowded with NPCs with no purpose (Grothum/Hoarhallow) and those with substantial enclosed NPCs are only utilized when being camped in (DG/OR).  The map is almost always swept one color or the other because current mechanics don't make it much harder to take all the keeps than it is to take just one. And don't get me started on ranged issues with bridges. Ugh.

- What suggestions for map mechanics would you add and why?

More use of vertical advantages. The hill behind TR, the hill next to Isen OP, the over/under action with TA's keep, the tall rock outside Lugs, the rock in near PTR. Even in the keeps, pewpewing from the flag room or using the balconies tends to harm its defense than it does bolster it. There should be some small reward in terms of crowd management for taking the time to learn to scale and utilize these pieces of the environment well in the heat of battle, especially since its something EVERY class can do - move.

- Where do you feel the balance should be for 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you adapt the current system to your preference?

I think the terrain, map and keeps WOULD do an adequate job of allowing for evenly-matched sides IF we couldn't just walk right through each other. Think back to 1998 and Ultima Online. Why was PvP great before Trammel (and then for a while in Felucia)? Because you couldn't just walk right through each other. You had a REAL presence! You could block somebody from going somewhere, you could bump into them, you could help your buddies trap somebody. And the size of the area you were in determined the size of the fight.

If we couldn't just walk on top of each other, how do you think a 24v8 go in the front hall of TR/Lug even with no NPCs? It'd be decently matched, since you couldn't get more then 3-4 people through the hall side-by-side at a time. The larger force would have to "siege" the smaller force until they were out of healing/power/consumables/whatever. The same fight open-field? Quite different.

- What battles do you want to encourage more, 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you encourage it?

Why can't we have all of it? See the previous question, realize its implications, AND THEN BUILD AN ENTIRELY NEW MAP VERY LAST. Make small enclosed areas that give an advantage to melee (square room) or ranged (long hallway), vast open areas with various densities and clustering of LOS-breaking goodies far from NPC backup, areas with semi-open (NOT fully enclosed) permanent camps like EC/OC.

Oh, and then give us a new tactical damage class Creep-side... I'm personally rooting for the Goblins. Throwing fire pots would just be far too awesome. =)

I have no problem with this, especially if they decide to give creeps Tier 3 corruptions at the same time.

A lot of my comments have already been covered.  I have a few more that I would like your input on:

(1) Burg's Riddle by the tooltip definition:

"You are capable of posing riddles to your enemies, which may momentarily distract them, dazing them for a short time or until damaged. This will not work on Beasts, Insects, or Creatures of Nature."

Out in the 'moors, I dont want to listen to a Freep talk, more so his "riddles", I just want to kill him.  Why would I listen to it? This idea may not fly but I wanted to suggest limiting Riddles in the 'moors.  Either disable it or give Creeps more resists against it.  I can understand an LM's mez.  Its a physical attack that disorients you.

(2) Applying more Physics in the 'moors, i.e "Knockbacks".  The trolls do it.  I just dont see how a 2'-7" hobbit burg would be able to solo or even stand toe-to-toe against a 10' Urukhai, BA or even Warleader.

(3) Stealth Classes: I think Stealth rating should be limited by terrain and/or day/night time.  In an open field with no brush, I think it should even get a penalty, but a buff if used in dense foliage or inside keeps.

(4) Burglar's T&G: This should not work in the water

Blue ninja would suit you well - ninja KB stealer!!!!

I like the idea of a side "arena style" pvp - I've reloaded my Guild wars/Factions game and have been PvP'ing with my Mesmer and my Monk for the past couple weeks when I get a rare spot to play.  I got a little bored with PvMP and wanted something a little different. It's been a blast (I love interupts on the mesmer).

The one thing I didn't list earlier in my post - I would love a new map or two but to make the population work well - I would love to grind out a freep through ranking in PvMP instead of through PvE. (freeps having to earn skills and better armor like the current creep build.) Hell I'd re-roll a freep just to have that opportunity (if I ever wanted to play a freep)

Anywho I'll be coming back in game very soon, schedule freeing up a bit.

An idea about keeps

Problem:  Drop pulling or ignoring groups of npcs is all too common on both sides.  This makes keep takes fairly easy.  I propose that TR and Lug tyrants/cgs are chained to their room and when it hits 50% health, several groups of npcs along the main path (so not every npc, like the ones from the windows or outside), all move directly to the cg room and aggro anything there.  This forces keep fights to keep npcs cleared the whole way up and is a disincentive to turtling.

What in PvMP do you consider FUN?

Overall, I have a firm belief that the community in the moors, or in the game for that matter can break or make a gaming experience. As someone that has gone off to play various MMORPG’s, I’ve always come back to LoTRO, due to my friends and the enjoyment I gain from sometimes just sitting on Ventrilo and chatting to people without moving my character from where it logged in. Creepside in particular on Elendilmir has built itself around working together while having a good laugh, though a few of us can attest to that having a lot to do with Ventrilo, along with fun people that can draw some fun from any scenario.

That being said, goals, and the more tangible rewards are always a good way to re-motivate people, especially when the map is having a slow evening. I believe people have always preferred the tangible over the intangible. Titles are fantastic, but the joy of receiving them is short lived. I think a horse, gear, etc tend to have a greater motivating effect, and I think the goal of achieving that status, rank, piece of gear can be a lot of fun, though that may in fact be the journey getting there, rather than the reward.

What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors?

While I don’t think we need more creeps in the Ettenmoors, I do think there a few things that would encourage them. Like I said previously a good community base is where most things start. I tried Creepside as a diversion to my PvE woes, the community welcomed me with open arms, and I never looked back since then. To be fair, they explained everything to me, in great detail. A nice little introduction, PvE type event could be quite nice – something that explains, the underlying currents such as maps, outposts, and so on. While we do have the Monster Manual, a lot of people would prefer to be spoon fed information rather than reading it themselves.

For the most part, I think the fun of earning your rank, and getting new skills, skins, and so on is enough incentive to rank a creep, and stick it out. Each rank has some sort of reward, whether it is big or small, and is far bigger than bragging rights or a mere title.

What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors?

Oh! There are plenty of ideas I could throw in here. For me personally, personally I’d love to be able to see interchangeable armour that you have earned through throughout your previous ranks. Each bit of the armour could be a different section, so when one hits rank eleven, they could use the rank two helm, the rank four pants, etc. A lot of people enjoy being a little bit unique as well as the customizable aspects of the game. If the above were too extensive, I wouldn’t mind being able to dye certain aspects of my character, maybe my pants, or the skin colour. On one day I could be a pasty white war leader, the next a red rocket, or a blue ninja.

I know this has been said numerous times, but a new map would be amazing! There isn’t a part of the current map I haven’t fought on, and I know the various strategies of each leader who uses different sections of the map. When I mention the idea of a new map, I do not want the old map to stay, mainly due to population concerns. I do not believe we have enough people to populate two maps with active PvMP. Maybe a rolling map with various objectives that could incorporate the old map and the new one. A fair few of the original creep players and Freep ones for that matter are getting tired of the same old, same old. Some change would be nice, even if it is small.

A final idea that I had, for both sides, could be an arena type instance, whereby people could pop up a new window and enter themselves as a three person team, which is then matched up with a three person opposition. If no match can be made for three, the UI could offer a six verses six instead, and so on. What I would like to see is an objective that isn’t just about infamy, maybe tribe/kinship PvMP points that have rewards, such as a tribe banner, or the ability to change titles. I would however, steer away from infamy as I think the urge to farm would be too great for some folks, and the preventative measures could take a lot of time to implement.

What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors, and vet freeps to stay?

Quite simply put, to encourage new Freeps into the Ettenmoors, we need incentives and rewards. Quite frankly, the PvMP gear is absolutely terrible, and the horse still has to be bought by the player once they reach rank nine (when really it should be auto-bestowed). While I know gear is a bit of an issue that people fight over, and I know that the gear should never be better than current, top raiding gear, I would like to see a side step. By this I mean, the gear for the Ettenmoors should really be the equivalent to say BG gear, however has more PvMP benefits. So, the PvMP gear may provide far more mitigations and resistance bonuses, instead of minus to power costs. It may provide minus to root duration instead of in-combat power regeneration, etc.

Another idea that was brought up that I quite liked, though I don’t know how effective it would be to implement could be PvMP only rank bonuses to morale, power, mitigations, etc. I think to some extents if Freeps could gain advantages, even if they’re not particularly huge, it would keep a lot of people around a lot longer. If nothing else, more tangible rewards for ranks is the essence of what people need – horses, housing items (shield of the Rangers of Esteldin?), proper cloaks, etc. However, I do believe that some of these should be auto-bestowed. For example there could be a deed to achieve the first five ranks, and that gives a title and a housing item, then for the next five ranks, Freeps could receive a horse with more morale, and a title. Etc. .

Again, I think arenas would be a good idea. Kinship points could be fun to earn, and in the end a lot of people enjoy pre-set matches, such as one verses ones, duos, trios, etc. It gives an alternative to when one side is getting smashed to pieces, and allows for new people to see a small group fight and gain an understanding of how creep classes work together, and what their skills are.

What aspects of the current map do you think is good?

I do really enjoy the openness of the current map, and the overall arrangement of keeps, etc. The arrangement of outposts could have been better, but lately the fights in/near outposts based on the numbers of each side have been terrific and I think having smaller NPC clusters are fantastic for when one side can’t quite handle an open field fight but have too many for a full blown keep battle. I think the objectives of the map can be quite fun, even if they are overused a tad.

What aspects of the current map do you dislike?

Primarily I despise the fact that the map is underused. Fights are automatically drawn to the centre of the map, which turns into either a WTAB/OC fight or a STAB/EC fight, instead of something more dynamic. In particular I could blame this on the location of EC/OC, and I think there could be a better choice of positioning for those little sub-keeps. To be honest, I think a lot of this falls down to boredom and the lack of retention we have for Freeps at the moment – leaders are not sticking around due to boredom or the numbers imbalances, thus we end up with static, stale fights.

On top of this I do think we have too many NPCs to fall back into, and not a lot of room for two sides to just go at it without the fear of the other side just drawing them closer to friendly NPCs, which tend to be outposts or keeps. The keeps themselves are a whole other dilemma. I find the keeps to be a little too easy to take, and a little too hard to defend unless you’re purely throwing numbers at each other.

- What in PvMP do you consider FUN.  Is it the yellow bar, the community, having rewards as you rank, or just corpse jumping others and being godly over your kill

1. Being part of a team(group or raid) that works toward a common goal (red map) 2. competing against the best AI we have in MMO's -> other people.

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

Theres too much incentive already -> creepside needs to become a struggle again. When/if that happens do what we used to do with new creeps....help them, teach them and give them a chance to be a positive factor for the whole of the 'Moors.

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors

In no particular order:

Make creep characters customisable - it would be cool to see creeps wearing bits of looted armour, clothing, weaps even just for the cosmetic value...we all look the same.

Have a "higher purpose" to PVP other than just seeing a red map ie give some kind of dread effect to entire zones such as Angmar, Mirkwood etc if the keeps/relics are all creep held....something that will make the freep people heroes come out to the Moors to save freepdom!

Open up zones to PVP - Angmar (with accompanying level adjustment for creeps 65 -> 50)

New map? -> maybe do a "battlegrounds" like DAOC has. Make the 'Moors a level 40-50 battleground, New map a level 60->65 battleground. If not then just open up some fringe areas of the current map, the Moors will become a ghost town if the size is doubled or a second map is added...its tough finding opponents a lot of the time as it is in the quieter times.

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors

Provide a tutorial or some kind of trial experience. PVP in general has a bad name (and rightly so in some cases) and like it or not a large majority of people do not want to spend their free time being corpse jumped, smack talked by some kids and adults that would have been thrown of a cliff if we were all Spartans. I dont know a lot about what happens with communication freep side but I hear it could be better? Give buffs to low or unranked freeps might work...theres an ever growing mass of high rank creeps now that are pretty tough to take down for newbies.

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors

Give them incentives! Skills, traits, equipment, titles....most of the abilities could be 'Moors specific but maybe give ranked freeps some kind of "hero" ability that they can use in PVE that adds bonuses to their groups/raids, something only earned by killing mass amounts of creeps.

- What aspects of the curent map do you think is good?  (Objective based PvP, lots of little npc clusters to fall back into)

The map is okay, its just underutilised.

- What aspects of the current map do you dislike? (too many npcs)

The Keeps - They need to have gates/doors and be far more defensible. I'm going to say it again...DAOC had THE best keep/siege mechanic of any MMO. There were rams that you needed to batter down keep doors, the defenders could then pour boiling oil on you while you rammed the door (rams break and need to be used by tanks/high hp classes). There were also Trebuchets for knocking down walls and defensive locations as well as having catapults for attacking inside the keep...made for some epic fighting. The npcs that help defend a keep need to also respawn in number that relates to the amount of other keeps owned ie you have all keeps you get a bare minimum of npcs...you have only 1 keep you get a % more than standard to help you defend.

Make the outposts a defensible location for a group ie put a door on it that can be destroyed by melee over time, a few defensible spots upstairs for ranged to pew pew from to help defend.

Bridges need to be somewhat more defensible -> add on either end some kind of archway/gateway with defensible positions and NO npcs,

- What suggestions for map mechanics would you add and why?

Get rid of creep maps and give creeps an "ability" similar to freep mounts (speed buff whilst in group/raid?). The current map dynamic gives little to no chance of anything being able to develop freep side without an instant teleportation of creeps = boring, predictable pvp. Additionally there are entire sections of the map that are rarely, if ever, used. If I wanted I could sit in Grams and just wait until something is called out and port there, pick up the scraps after 20 other creeps port in and then go back to reading a book in Grams...thats not pvp...its whack a mole.

- Where do you feel the balance should be for 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you adapt the current system to your preference?

Unranked freep/ unranked creep = 2-3 creeps equal 1 freep

low->mid rank freep and creep = 2 creeps equal 1 freep

high rank freep and creep (rank 9-10+?)= equal

- What battles do you want to encourage more, 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you encourage it?

All, particularly mass freeps from all walks of life entering the Moors to fight a common cause that effects the rest of the PVE community (see the + to dread idea for an example)

On the Dev chat thing....we discussed the idea about maybe a year ago in the BAOS member section? Might be worth seeing where we got to......fully support the idea.

that would be a great idea. Anyone remember back in the day when they used to have Dev chats on IRC channels? Yea, we need to hold one of those. I think BAOS needs to step up, get a IRC channel and see if we can not hold one! (p.s. I am not volunteering for this since I know jack squat about IRC channels, however, they are free to get!)

- What in PvMP do you consider FUN.  Is it the yellow bar, the community, having rewards as you rank, or just corpse jumping others and being godly over your kill?

I like the creep community, but it was developed through the need to work together in order to defeat freeps. I guess the most fun I have is being able to work as a team or coordinate with others. I like to teach and help develop new players, as well as, create a culture of camaraderie (as V stated) on both sides. I like the thrill of the solo escape for larger forces and developing new and spontaneous tactics when leading or following in a raid. I have fun analyzing new tactics and new areas for fun fights. I love that new/old skills and toons change and/or added, so I can figure out the best ways to take advantage of them or find their weakness. Although, I don't like how long it takes between these changes. So maybe, a little less time between moors updates would be nice.

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

I really don't know about this one, but I think most of the creep community helps newbies when they can. I know that new creeps don't have a full understanding of the vent community. So that's why I usually lead Map raids with both ingame voice and vent on, so I can give the new people a sense of what they are missing and encourage them to try vent out.

Come to think of it, why hasn't Lorto made a vent style system for the Moors? Wait... that takes time, money and lorto employees to monitor it. Although, if you did have it as part of the game, I think it may bring out more freeps and creeps to the moors. Because who really wants to try and type something out while they are being attacked? Ya I know, there's ingame voice, but it's only if you are in a raid. How about ingame voice for when you're in the moors instead? Wishful thinking...

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors

I'd have to agree with V, continuous updates, but small. How about changing out the area, say have 4 to 5 different areas that change every few random days with different objectives in them. Maybe keep the same number of keeps and OPs, but just in different locations? Each area has a different terrain. Keep the same requirements for everything; just mix it up a little. Say when a random time to change to out to a random area, all creeps and freeps are booted to the toon login screen. Once the area has been switched, which I think wouldn't take more than a few minutes, they could log back in to a new area? This way the moors are still one area active. I hate trying to type this idea out. So tell the devs to talk to me in vent if they want more info.

I have class in a little bit, so I'll try and get back to the rest of the questions a little later.

I will suggest, they temporarily auto level and buff any level 40+ freep to L65 or to whatever the max creep level is in a future PvP area.

They already have the code in place. It is being used in the solo versions of volume one  instances.

hangin out with friends, its always been that. if they go, i go.

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

tbh i think we have a steady enough increase of creeps coming in, no need to entice more.

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors

better pvmp gear that was for pvmp only. make it easier to grind for the gear (less brilliant stones). freeps should be able to barter for their food, morale and power pots. this should also be on par with what creepside has (ie. r9 freeps able to use r9 power pots, etc...).

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors

make ranking worth the effort.

they would be the main points to look at imo. i'm too lazy to answer the rest...

spending more time with bubba would improve my pvmp experience

- What in PvMP do you consider FUN.  Is it the yellow bar, the community, having rewards as you rank, or just corpse jumping others and being godly over your kill

Camaraderie, being able to interact in a team environment to achieve some objective.  There is a reason to defeat the enemy besides for infamy/renown.

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

A better introduction to the 'moors, having a community which welcomes people.

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors

Continued upgrades to PvMP at least every 6-8 months.  Small continual changes in how the dynamics of the 'moors works.

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors

Rewards, possibly PvP optimal armor roughly equivalent to PvE but the set bonuses are PvP specific.  They cannot be tied to rank else a freep who has achieved all can always achieve all.  Force them to do objective based PvP too (taking Lug/TA/or TR for some token or a 1st age drop).  Make it somewhat profitable to be in the 'moors, increase the money drop from npcs in the 'moors.  Remove all negatives to PvP (armor repair), give cheap food and pots for PvPers which can be gained by tokens which drop in the 'moors by either dead creeps or dead npcs.  Ensure that the food and pots only work in the 'moors.

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors

Continued rewards that keep pace with PvE rewards, yet ensure that they have to still PvP to continue to gain them (again not tied to rank).  Make it cheap to stay in the 'moors (see above)

- What aspects of the curent map do you think is good?  (Objective based PvP, lots of little npc clusters to fall back into)

Objective based PvP.  A variety of small places whch are somewhat defensible for a smaller/disadvantaged force to fight from.  From creepside, map credit is spread all over the map, forcing them to see the whole map

- What aspects of the current map do you dislike? (too many npcs)

Few/no one has any reason to go to Isen.  Make map credits easier there by killing things in the mines.  The freeps have no reason to range across the map.  They should be able to get decent rewards (resources) from exposed areas around the map

- What suggestions for map mechanics would you add and why?

Remove map credit from keep flips.  Increase reasons for the freeps to spread out across the map.  Prevent drop pulls by sending every live npc left in the keep to the CG/Tyrant room when he hits half life (to prevent intentional resetting).  Make Isen have a reason to be there (all mines are the best resources and are all rich)

- Where do you feel the balance should be for 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you adapt the current system to your preference?

Balance unfortunately can't be all, but it should remain small group vs small group to minimize inequities between raid vs raid and 1v1

- What battles do you want to encourage more, 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you encourage it?

Raid vs raid, increase population in the 'moors and force major objectives to be taken and defended (Lug/TA/TR).  Encourage small group/1v1 by making reasons to go to other places on the map (creeps and freeps).  Make having the relics give more of an advantage to the 'moors for freeps (5% renown gain when all keeps taken).  Increase server resources to PvP zones with high populations to reduce lag.  Have a special place for 1v1 which prevents grouping and sheds buffs from fellows

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors Probably the culture - getting help right away and assimilation (personally don't think we need more right now)

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors - a new map. Seriously. Not sure here. The break has been good for me - but now I miss it.

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors - Get something for ranking (armor, etc) that would help for PvP. More leaders.

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors - Not getting owned over and over. I went out on my burg a few weeks ago, only lvl 60. it was pretty brutal on how quickly you get overrun unless your a full raid.

- What aspects of the curent map do you think is good?  (Objective based PvP, lots of little npc clusters to fall back into) The keeps, Wish we had hot spots back instead of the OPs

- What aspects of the current map do you dislike? (too many npcs) - reduce npcs and add gates at the keeps. (would eliminate drop pulls) add siege equip (Imagine trying to get a battering ram to the gate and freeps attempting to stop it before it reaches the gate.

- What suggestions for map mechanics would you add and why? Remove mounts and add maps for the freeps. Reduce the # of maps (just a poor and a good map)

- Where do you feel the balance should be for 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you adapt the current system to your preference?   I like large groups. I also like smaller groups. maybe have 1 map that is solo only (or max of 3 other people) in a group. Then have other area that is 12-24 people only.

- What battles do you want to encourage more, 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you encourage it? I'm all about the raid on raid or larger group on larger group. I would say there is some fun on 1v1 but I would have a special place for it so it doesn't get interupted.

Go ahead and suggest any other broad areas of topics too that you would add. I would love to see an open quest/PVP area (imagine the current North downs with PvP in it.(both monster characters and Free people having to do quests and fighting to get to the quest area.

For me its the people.  The community on both sides.  People enjoy having fun with their friends.  Between that, and the thrill of the fight

- What do you think would encourage new creeps to come to the 'moors

hmm.  This is a tough one.  again a community of helpful and friendly creeps to come to.  On top of that, a fun experience right out of the gate.  I have to say that where as you dont want a creep to be able to bust out a 1v1 right off the bat, but killing slugs?  really?

- What do you think would encourage vet creeps to stay in the 'moors

hmmm.   this is dont know. I dont think I'm a vet, but the thought that there could be good PvP happening brings me out.  I dont know how to really answer this one

- What do you think would encourage new freeps to come to the 'moors

this is easy.  let them earn something!  not crappy armor or a horse.  But maybe some armor comparable to raid armor (and that doesnt require delving runs to get on top of rank)  Give them some good loot, maybe some PvP only skills? maybe have the keep Tyrants and elite masters drop loot (2nd ages, relics, maybe even some 1st age tokens

- What do you think would encourage vet freeps to stay in the 'moors

Not being vastly overrun everytime they step foot out of the 1 shots, again going back to the loot system.  Give them stuff.

- What aspects of the curent map do you think is good?  (Objective based PvP, lots of little npc clusters to fall back into)

Keep objectives, nice map, lots of fighting areas and good fall back points

- What aspects of the current map do you dislike? (too many npcs)

drop pull capabilities, lots of NPCs to hide in even when outnumbered, ease of GV camping, lack of motivation to create objective PvP

- What suggestions for map mechanics would you add and why?

if you mean travel maps, I would add freep map in locations as well or remove maps and mounts and create an out of combat run buff.  Make map in points a long ways off from creep map in points so not to create a cluster of maps

- Where do you feel the balance should be for 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you adapt the current system to your preference? this is quite hard to do.  i cant really answer it

- What battles do you want to encourage more, 1-1, small group vs small group, raid vs raid?  How would you encourage it?

I've been enjoying the 1v1 and small group fights a lot.  raids i enjoy but only if its raid on raid.  I dont like getting steamrolled and i dont like steamrolling.   Encourage it by boosting inf/ren in small groups and solo.  I dont know how else to do it without a population monitor

Go ahead and suggest any other broad areas of topics too that you would add.
