Violence, Reaver Vyxe, Warleader You're going to die in my raids. Really.

There's a migration utility which helped me carry over settings even from Vista 32 to Win 7 32. I'd run that just to make sure that everything goes well. Also you might want to run the Win 7 readiness check software to see if there's any conflicts possible

Anything that I should be aware about when it comes Windows 7? Moving to it over the holidays... I have pre-downloaded darn near everything that I think I'll need, 4GB DDO client, 9GB LOTRO client, 64 bit versions of everything I can find. The wonders of having multiple computers and external drives.
My only hope is that I do not have to re-download all of my Steam Apps. That would just suck as I can not pre-load them. That is like 15GB of stuff.

I had to reinstall everything :(
It was worth it though nice fresh install on everything.
Victory may not always be in our fortune, but the glory of the battle always will.
Death will come often and swift, but the glory of death will be great!
Play hard, die often!

I have all my mmos on a separate physical drive. After installing W7 x64 on C drive, all I had to do was to force install dotnet 1.1 and run turbineinvoker.exe from the game folder and all was good.
If only have 1 HD, backing up the whole game directory to a thumb drive works as well.

That actually is an excellent point. Finding it!
Edit: The high rez client links are broken :(
Edit 2: Found the updated links.... time remaining... a long time.

If you are going 64 bit, you first priority has to be the 64 bit drivers for your motherboard components.
Specially the SATA driver if you are using that kind of HD. This may be needed since in some cases windows 7 DVD will not recognize the SATA chipset and cannot install. Having the 64 bit LAN adapter driver also a good idea. Once you get the LAN working, you can get everything else from the net.
In my case, I had to go back to 32 bit Windows 7. Extreme over clocking did not go too well with my HD controller. I had severe fragmentation and data corruption.
Right now I am happily running W7 X86 with a 40% over clocked system.
