The Creep Vent Administrators are a team which monitor for issues within Creep Vent and resolve them. They also form the administrative support for registering and altering user data and channels. Our organization is considered flat such that all members have an equal say when asked to vote upon an issue and their inputs are valued.

Their responsibilities are
1) Monitor for and defeat all attacks on Creep Vent (mainly spam)
2) Monitor for, report, and resolve all spying issues
3) Register guests into Ventrilo
4) Add Tribe-specific channels
5) Resolve any concerns that may arise from the Creep Vent population
6) When in doubt, consult with any online Creep Vent Admins or post on the Vent Admin forum for a team resolution

We seek the maintain a healthy population of Vent Administrators to reduce the workload to the bare minimum across all time zones. There is no differentiation between tribes and we seek Creeps who have a good reputation in the 'moors. We will provide you all training needed to fulfill your responsibilities.

I would do this.. and that.. then this... and then end it with a chocolate ice cream dessert.

What is your course of action to this scenario-- A known and reputable creep on creep vent states that such and such guest is spying for the freeps. You cannot find that user name on the /who list as playing as a creep. No other Vent Admin is on at this time:

OOC sounds like the best course of action here to findout who they are. Try and find an IP address in ventrilo which corresponds with a their creep name. Suss out what they are doing and if they were even spying. If the story doesn't sound legit, temp ban them and post the findings on the creep admin boards to see what further action should be taken.

Time Zone EST - NC

Avg time in creep vent - 30- 35 a week

% of time in the Moors- 98%

Whe did I apply ro creep vent - 6/09 ( round about that time not sure on exact )

1st I would confirm that  they were not in game by asking for a responce in OCC , Next if no responce I would go to the server log and look for log ins and log outs  trying to track the IP adresss. As a last resort if I could not find any  useable info on my own  I would  consult my sister( Halthurion of  Firefighters) who is a vent / TS3 admin freep side to see if there was any IP address  the same in her files and log in log outs  in a attempt to find a  username creep/ freep side that matches the IP addy .

When approximately did you join Creep Vent: 1st time feb 08,  Full time April/May of 2009

What is your course of action to this scenario-- A known and reputable creep on creep vent states that such and such guest is spying for the freeps. You cannot find that user name on the /who list as playing as a creep. No other Vent Admin is on at this time:

Ask in vent that the specified person type something in OOC and then proceed to send the toon a tell as they may be annonymous,  Then use Ventrilo's tools to attempt to find the toon. (check the IP is something i hear a lot)  at that time if they are not in game I would say boot them, and if neeeded, vote on a ban.

V you know what I would do if I found someone on Vent - that wasnt on the who list ;)  but for completion sake ok i will be serious

 

I would contact him - ask him what creep he is playing on and where he is in the moors - if he dosent respond - I would boot him.  If he is on an alt and in vent and that creep is in the moors then I would ask he put his main reg toon in brackets.  If he is on his reg creep and not in the moors - then I would remind him he needs to be in the appropriate channel or coming into the moors.

PHONE A FRIEND IN BELFAST - GET THE SPY'S ADDRESS - CONTACT AN OPERATIVE IN THE STATES NEAR HIS HOME AND ARRANGE A 'VISIT' TO ENCOURAGE HIM NOT TO BE A LOW-DOWN SON-OF-A-BIATCH

What is your course of action to this scenario-- A known and reputable creep on creep vent states that such and such guest is spying for the freeps. You cannot find that user name on the /who list as playing as a creep. No other Vent Admin is on at this time.

I would contact the person with text chatin vent, note the ipaddress and username/creepname and send a message to the noted creepname in game. If I would get a reaction, I would find out what that person is doing in game and in vent. If there was no reaction, I would remove the person from vent and put a temp block on the ip, posting in ventadmin about it, to get feedback from the other admins and this person.

Avg # Hours on Creep Vent (either PvE or PvP) per week: I think it was 20ish.

% of time spent in the Ettenmoors as a Creep, vs a Freep: 75%+ and probably more once I've levelled my freep to 60.

When approximately did you join Creep Vent: I can't remember what I said... A year ago, (I think I previously posted something about Grurl being annoying)

What is your course of action to this scenario-- A known and reputable creep on creep vent states that such and such guest is spying for the freeps. You cannot find that user name on the /who list as playing as a creep. No other Vent Admin is on at this time:

Make a note of the IP address, try to engage the person in conversation or text message them to find out if they have an explanation. If they were obviously being naughty, place a temporary ban on them. If they had a plausible explanation I'd let the original person who complained about them know what they said. In both those cases and If they seemed fishy I'd post in the vent admin section regarding what went on and keep an eye on that person for a bit.

Tada! That's about the jist of what I posted last time. Last time I mentioned Uzrak, but Snarga's jealous now, so I left him out. Snarga's much more fun anyhow. :)
