I know a few times you guys got zerg-pwned, but we tried moving around once the other creeps started trickling in.

We flipped the OP, moved behind Lug, pulled the front of lug, etc etc, to get your attention we were out moving about.... and you caught on and came looking every time.... hats off to ya dude.

The final fights i was in behind lug rez... wow... you couldnt take us down with all our healing your 7 (is my count right? we counted 7) vs our 6 .... but adding those RK and a hunter after all those wipes helped DPS through our heals. Not a single one of us whined you brought more to the fight, on the contrary, we were jumping crazy with laughter and calling for everyone to hurry the heck up and get back there to fight the increased numbers!

Running back in when everyone was dead, and AOE rezzing them all while u guys didnt see me run from the direction of your own rez was classic :P

Anywho, with all the drama, and whining that E is all zerg all the time, just wanted to drop a line here and illustrate how this is so not the case, and takes people on both sides to actively seek out and stay true to fun fights without calling in the zerg, as Orak def did not do to us, or us to him,

Due to some family issues, I will not be on the game as much as I have been. I will still be on from time to time, after all I am a lifer, but family comes first and LOTRO must take a back seat.

You creeps won't get to kill me as often :p

Preface: At the expense of being called a flipper or what have you, I'm going to give you all my thoughts on the moors as they are now.

Firstly, a couple of things to start with:
A) The moors are part of a game. They are for fun. If you're not having fun, if you're spazzing out, if you're at the point of foaming at the mouth, try to take a breather or a break and come back when you're having fun.
B) You don't know definitely what the other side is doing unless you're spying (In which case knock it off :D), so stop saying they're doing this to farm us, they're doing this to zerg us etc.
C) Drop the words farm and zerg. They've lost meaning. Farming is what Lucibell does in Hobbiton. Zerging is when twenty X kill one Y repeatedly. Do not use them to refer to raids in keeps or anywhere else. They're misnomers at best.

Freeps:
A) Renown is a yellow bar. That's it. It does nothing to advance your class. Don't think that it does. Cause it won't...
B) Know your class and its role. When you're small fellow, it's cool to do whatever. When you're in a raid, play your role as it was intended. Captains: Buff and Heal, use shield brother. Minstrels: Heal. Hunters for the love of god, If you see six poisons on a champ, use your purge Poison like Telquin does or other such hunters. Don't let them die because you can't stop pew pew pewing. Tainted kiss is almost 2000 damage over 30 seconds. That's a lot of damage Minstrels, if you're in war speech in a big fight in a full 24 man raid, you should be booted immediately
C) Don't be dead weight. I"m not saying have the best gears/traits/relics whatever (Although you should attempt to make your character as strong as possible), but please do not be on auto follow on the raid leader when the fight starts. Follow the target assists, do what the leader says and follow his lead. Even if you think it's the wrong thing to do, try to be courteous enough to try out his plan.
D) Get on freep vent. Coordinate. The creeps do. You'd be fools not to.
E) Do not target Warleaders. Do not target Warleaders. Do not target Warleaders. Even if the coldfells NPCS tell you focus fire on the warleaders. Do not.. Target... the warleaders. Assign people to mess with them. Get a warden, guardian, burglar captain or champion to harass them. Make sure you harass them so they can't heal. Throw addle, clobber, boot, stamp, whatever. Do not focus your DPS on them. Do not target warleaders. Wargs are squishy and do a lot of damage. Squish the wargs, squish the spiders, squish the BAS. Do not target warleaders (or rank 12 reavers who notoriously Run around with a pocket WL).

Creeps:
A) Be a sport. I know it's really easy to map in, swarm one or two people with 10-15, get some inf, and pat yourself on the back. It's not really fun in the long run unless you really are just playing to see the yellow bar move.
B) Stop saying the freeps are farming, or the freeps are zerging. I'm not quite sure how many people I've had to mute because they repeatedly misuse those two words but the list is growing. Just because the freeps play to their advantage, they are not farming. Just because the raid runs over you in hopes of a more even fight or a keep objective, they are not intetionally farming you.
C) Also, know your class. If you're a warleader in a raid of 24 with 12 dps classes, don't let your dps classes die because you feel the need to throw a shout. Your raid is much better served with a Field promotion, crack the whip or quit whining and fight.

P.S. --> I know I'm going to be flamed. I know somebody is going to quote and insult. Bring it on. Let's try to get some constructiveness out of it and improve PVMP for both sides.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Hurod for being a hell of a cappy and hitting R10 mostly solo/small group! Great work man!

I'm a little curious about the effectiveness of wardens in the moors. I have dabbled in PvMP, mostly in Windfaila before I Xfered over a year ago. Since then I have wandered to our to E moors with my minnie R3, my LM R2, and my Guard R4, and most recently I have unretired my old hunter Ariolas R5 for some good fun. In PvE my main far and clear is my warden. I've been browsing the PvMP forums and twice I saw wardens being labeled as OP in PvP. I'm almost certain they were refering to 1v1's. Any input on wardens as a viable PvMP freep class?

Today, so far, has been the perfect example of creeps ruining pvmp for us all. Do you really need 8 wargs to take down solo freeps? Grouped or not you've all been attacking the same targets. Do you really need to call in the zerg for a 1v1 that might be happening somewhere on the map? Do you really need to clear out EC nonstop? Do you really find that zerging around from solo freep to solo freep is more enjoyable than actually using some sort of strategy for small group or dare I even say "solo" combat? Did you know that you can travel in the moors without a full group?

its a simple fact, you fight fair,(1vs1) maybe even 2vs1(depends on rank) i dont care if i die ill keep coming out, if i get ganked 1-2 times ill just leave, youll most likely get more renown,unfortunately i got stuff to do tommorrow,but i might have one more in me

Tonight I ran with a kin group of 10; got 11 towards the end. Largely outnumbered, we got smashed here and there but got our kills each time.

None the less, I gotta hand it to Worgnakh. I'm used to hearing about this guy just fleeing for his life.

Not tonight, dude brought it nasty every time. He got the bad end of several crushing EC's but still, each time in the midst of the raids clashing, there he was targeting me.

RenamedKG has even shown his face to me alot lately, though a bit more crafty than most. Still figuring him out...

Good show you two, esp for supposed chicken-wargs.

A word once had meaning, now meaningless must end.

During the TR fight today we needed to maintain constant preasure... if only to give them a reason to stay.
Yet again the word "farming" kept being used in /ooc. I feel people avoided TR and death just to watch creeps take TR. Now im not usually one to air freeps dirty laundry as i know my etiquette, but i feel this is a very important matter to address.

If i seem a little off my nut... let me tell you about my experience on menedor.

I was playing creepside on menedor not long ago and it became abundantly clear that the creeps were just rolling over freeps left right and centre.
Not soon enough a great freep leader rose to the plate and started bossing the creeps around. Funny how the battle changed from "freeps over there!" to "Don't go! their they're just farming"...
Needless to say i feel like they missed out in some good fights!.

Now i know the PvMP on this server is alot better then that, but todays attitude at TR was giving me flashbacks and made me "RAGELOG".

Guys... farming renown is almost impossible to define, yet if one was to define it, it would look more like a fightclub from old-swg.

..what it would be like if people focused more on their support roles than DPS in PvP. I doubt on creepside it'd make much difference since the classes are set up that way to start with, but then I haven't played creep on E for a long time. Freepside is a different story.

I was out in the moors on Meneldor last night and it was pretty interesting. Some of the hunters would actually stop DPSing to remove the poisons that are gonna kill their group. So much so that we had to switch targets and kill the worst offenders so us spiders could actually do damage.

I know one thing that really defines the E freeps is their bloodlust. It both rewards and punishes them. I know that I get sick of being stunned if I'm in a raid with 3 lrms, I know a little bit of me dies inside when I cant get a wound or poison removal. And minstrels that WS in a raid? Bah!

I know that everyone gets their enjoyment from different aspects of PvP, I like being support which is why you'll rarely, if ever find me warspeeching or soloing out there. I like to think that I play my class for the benefit of everyone, not just myself.

With the balance issues at the moment, I started pondering what it would be like if people really tried to work together. Would too much DPS be lost? Would it make little difference any way? I just think there's more to pvp than who can dps the fastest.

Please be nice, this isn't a thread about ezimoding, more about changing strategy instead of doing the same old thing in every situation and assuming it's best.

I would like to remind the reaver community that turbine gave you the 200% run speed buff in the dying rage skill for attack purposes and not for sprinting off to avoid giving renown.

Now, i totally understand your need to run away with it not to give renown if you were zerged. But if i have the decency to give you a 1 v1 when i coulda called you out, and traited to be less OP so it's a more balanced fight and you use dying rage to kill me and run so i don't get renown, then *** lol. I just gave you a fair fight and it was a close fight so why do you need to deny me renown i've earned by running away with dying rage after a kill. I'm not going to mention names. You know who you are, this happened behind EC xroadish yesterday. It's little things like this that destroy the pvp experience. After that little episode how motivated do you think i'll be to play "Mr. Nice guy" when i see you?

Had some good fun tonight, even though we really haven't gotten any kills off you at all. I haven't yelled at my monitor in awhile, and I've certainly had a good laugh! Nice leading out there.

P.S. - I hate you three Burglars. +60% Miss chance from your stacking DITE's makes me a really sad reaver.
